SN:7376. Made at Nagoya Arsenal in 1943 with a 25.9-inch barrel that is chambered for the 7.7x58mm rifle cartridge. This Nagoya Arsenal TERA Type 2 paratrooper's rifle has a bright bore with strong rifling mainly because it is chrome-lined, & so is the face of the bolt. The overall condition is good with original finish on the metal parts & the wood is in great shape with none of the the dings & dents that one would normally expect to see on a military service rifle that has been through a world war. It is equipped with the Type 99 rifle's distinctive folding anti-aircraft rear sight assembly & the chrysanthemum is intact. Comes with the cleaning rod & an unmarked dust cover. Also comes with a straight quillon Type 30 bayonet that was made by Toyoda Jidoshoki Seisakusho (Toyoda Automatic Loom Works) under Nagoya Arsenal supervision & is in good condition, a metal scabbard & leather frog.
