NSN, made in 1814, .72 caliber, 41.75" round smoothbore barrel. Barrel and other iron parts are a dark brown patina. Barrel is proofed mark with "MASS SJ 1814", lock plate has a faint "M", oxidation has covered the remaining letters for "MASS". Stock has expected nicks, dings and scratches. Two cracks are visible forward of the lock plate, through the mortis. Action holds at half and full cock. Musket  reflects some service use during Britain's second war with the U.S.
