SN: None. Made circa 1910's. 8MM with a 4.5 Barrel. Bore is in very good condition with Bright and strong rifling. This Model 1892 revolver was made for the French Ministry of War for presentation as a shooting prize. The top of the barrel is marked MLE 1892 and the right side is marked S. 1912. The right side of the rear frame is marked Mre d'Armes St Etienne. The specially made finely checkered wood grips are excellent. The left grip has a oval medallion reading PRIX over OFFERT over a blank banner over PAR le MINISTRE de la FUERRE (prize given by the Ministry of War). Overall condition is very good.
