In stock
NSN, circa 1750-1770, .80 caliber, 46" pinned smoothbore barrel. Barrel and iron parts are a dark grey/brown patina with scattered pin-prick surface oxidation visible. Barrel is marked "So Carolina" left side, muzzle is marked "A N 567" next to the front brass blade sight . Stock has expected usage and wear with even wood loss noted forward of the middle barrel band. Barrel band looks to have used for a repair. Side plate is marked "J.S. ROLFE V.A" Trigger guard is marked " S. ROLFE. S.C.". Action functions correctly by holding at half and full cock. A few examples are noted in Bill Aheran and George Moller's books. A very Scarce musket!
