Serial number 6713. Made in 1874. $% LC caliber with a 7 1/2'” barrel. This a sharp gun with a gun metal gray patina throughout the metal. This gun is all matching. This gun falls into the acceptable custer range and is Ainsworth inspected, but it was probably issued to the 2nd or 5th cavalry. This gun comes with a letter of authentication from noted Colt Single Action expert John Kopec. He declares it all original and awarded this gun the coveted Silver seal reserved for only the original and finest guns at Mr. Kopec’s discretion. Mr. Kopec notes in his letter that he had seen this gun before with a replaced base pin screw and ejector tube, but the correct components have replaced the previously seen parts. (DALLAS LOCATION)
