Serial No. 19180, .46 Rimfire, circa 1867-1869, 30" round barrel. Rare possible Government trial rifle with dual ignition systems of Rimfire and percussion. Barrel is starting to turn to a grey patina, receiver and breech still shows case coloring in protected areas. Bore is bright with minor areas of oxidation visible in the grooves. Stock is in near excellent condition with minor storage wear visible. When hammer is pulled back you can see the firing pin on and the breech with its nipple for percussion. Cartridge ejector is noted bottom of the stock forward of the receiver. Top of the receiver is marked with No.46
