Gorgeous Springfield Model 1879 trapdoor rifle issued to the State of Massachusetts in overall excellent condition. Bore is bright and shiny with strong rifling visible. Handsome 1898 cartouche is noted on the stock, minor handling wear is present. Receiver is marked "MASS". Hard to improve on this rifle.
