Serial number 3224. Made approximately 1884. 44 -40 caliber with a 25 ½” barrel. Very nice sharp gun with a light brown patina. The frame still has some original blue in the protected areas. Wood is very good with normal handling. This is a scarce and desirable gun with only 6400 of these guns made in Colt’s attempt to enter the lever action market!
