The 10.4mm Swiss rimfire caliber Model 1871 Vetterli rifle has an under barrel magazine for 11 rounds. The bore is fair with visible rifling. The gun has an overall blue-brown patina with areas of roughness. The stock is very good and matching the gun. The inspection marks are present and there is a Canton issue shield and number on the lower wrist. The cleaning rod and swivels are present. The action does not properly cock and release. Fill that hole in your collection with this representative example.
