Serial number 38016. Made in 1868. 36 caliber with a 5 ½” barrel. Beautiful gun with approximately 50% of the original blue on the barrel. Bright case colors on the frame. The cylinder has been refinished. Gun has original ivory grips. The back strap is inscribed “William W Farnam/ July 1866” According to the Colt dating publications, this gun was made in 1868, however the gun is inscribed in 1866. The inscription appear to be completely authentic. Case is excellent. Accessories are very fine.
