Rare Springfield model 1871 Ward- Burton bolt action rifle chambered in .50-70 with a 32.5" barrel. Action functions correctly, metal has been polished into original bright finish. Wood shows some usage and handling wear present. Bore is with some frosting noted in the grooves. Stock has two cartouches visible. Only 1011 of these rifles were ever manufactured.
