Winchester-Hotchkiss Bolt Action rifle 1st Model 1879 chambered in .45-70 with a 32" barrel. Serial number is 2669. Metal has a smooth dark brown patina. Wood shows handling marks. Barrel is stamped with "US" over anchor. Bore is good with frosting in the grooves. Action mechanically functions correctly. Hard to find Navy issued Bolt action rifle.
