U.S. Model 1861 rifle musket by Welch, Brown & Co. Metal has a dark brown patina. Stock has been lightly sanded with cartouche is faintly visible. Action functions correctly, nipple has been damaged. Lock plate is marked "U S" over "Norfolk" with an 1863 date.
