This late WWII 8mm Nambu caliber pistol is dated December 1944 (19.12). It has the late war solid cocking knob and smooth slab sided wood grips. The 4.5" barrel has an excellent bore with bright, strong rifling. the gun retains approx. 95% of its dull wartime blue with areas of freckling and light roughness. The left side of the slide has the safety safe and fire characters followed by five Japanese characters at the rear. The right rear side has the Nagoya Arsenal symbol followed by a circular mark and the serial number. Below that, on the frame, is a Japanese symbol followed by the date 19.12. With the exception of the correct type magazine, the numbers match. The smooth wood grips are very good with no chips or cracks. The action functions correctly. If you need a late WWII Type 14 Nambu, this would be a good candidate.
