The 9.4mm Dutch Model 1873 revolver was used from 1873 to 1945. This revolver is a New Model 1873 withits 6.3" round barrel instead of the original octagon barrel. The first New Models were issued in 1909 and this one is so dated. The bore is excellent with bright, strong rifling. The overall gun rertains approx. 90% blue with the remainder turning a smooth blue brown. The right side of the frame in front of the cylinder is marked HEMBERG and below that is on the lower frame is the1909 date. The cylinder chambers are numbered 1 through 4 with the last two being marked L (LOAD NOW!??). The smoogh wood grips are very good with no cracks or chips. The laynsrd ring is absent. The action functions correctly. This nice big Dutch revolver is ready for your European military pistol collection.
