Only about 3,000 9mm 1906 American Eagle Lugers were produced. About 8,000 were made in 30 Luger. The early 1906 American Eagle Luger is distinguished by four features: 1. The late flat toggle knobs; 2. The US eagle over the chamber; 3. The grip safety; and 4. The polished unmarked lower thumb safety position. THe extractor is marked LOADED. This gun has an excellent bore with bright, sttong rifling. All the parts, including the grips, are matching. The toggle is marked DWM and GERMANY is on the ftont of the frame below the serial number. It has approx. 85% bright blue and the strawed parts are bright but starting to turn. The grips are fine with good checkering and some wear. The inside of the right grip shell is marked V.N. Jackson nad the left has a block ST. The magazine has an unmarked wood base. The action functions correctly. This is a very nice example of the scarce 1906 American Eagle Luger in 9mm.
