Dated 1855. 58 caliber with a 12” barrel” Metal has a dark gray patina. Wood is very good. Brass is nicely patinated. This gun is all original with the exception of the door with the eagle over the Maynard tape primer is a very cleverly aged replacement. Bore still has rifling where over half of these guns were bored out to smooth bore. Very nice example of a Springfield 1855 Pistol Carbine
