Percussion side by side shotgun with Rudolphe Brauns Patent. Side locks are of a most unusual design. Both side locks are marked Rudolphe Brauns Patent April 17, 1866. Barrels are 30.5" to breech plug. In his book "American Gunsmiths" by Frank Sellers he lists Augustus Braun with Rudolph Braun in San Francisco California. Rib is inlayed with gold inscription "Fine Damascus Steel". The Damascus pattern is very clear and well done. A desirable California gun.
