Circa 1830s. Beautiful staff Officer sword with excellent acid etching on the blade in patriotic themes. Counter guard has a relief cast gilded brass eagle. The grip is fluted bone that has been repaired. This sword has a helmet head gilded pommel. Scabbard is very good. This sword is most likely a Horstmann made but is unmarked. Very fine Militia Officer Sword
