Made circa 1875. 70 caliber with a 50 in barrel. This gun has a light gray patina on the metal. Wood is reasonably sharp, This is a flintlock lock and marked “LONDON” This gun has all the normal features of a trade musket with the oversized trigger guard, thin light weight furniture and barrel designed to shoot shot and ribbed ramrod pipes. This gun was made in flintlock despite being made approximately 1870s because the idea was to trade this type of musket to the natives giving them an ineffective firearm.
