Nepalese Gurkha Third Model Brown Bess Flintlock Musket. This .75 caliber musket was assembled at Nakku, outside Kathmandil. The British made E.I.C. lock markings were removed and replaced by a Buddhist temple. This musket was manufactured circa 1820. The 39” round barrel has a very good smooth bore. Metal is fine with an even, smooth dark patina with bayonet wear at the muzzle. The stock is very fine with no cracks or chips. The brass furniture has a smooth even patina. Barrel has the interesting Nakku “two bare feet” proof. Swivels and ramrod are present. Action functions correctly. This is an interesting variation of the Brown Bess.
