NSN, circa 1840's, .75 caliber, 41" round smooth bore barrel. Bore is fair with oxidation visible throughout.. The barrel has a dark patina with areas of light to moderate pitting, especially in the nipple area. The lock is very good with a crown/ Potsdam/ GL. Brass furniture is very good. The tang of the butt plate is dated “1835”. The action functions correctly. Many of these Potsdam muskets were used in the Civil War. (DALLAS LOCATION)
