U.S. Model 1873 Trapdoor Springfield rifle with very low serial number. This is a first model 1873 Trapdoor receiver that has been Arsenal overhauled at one time. This gun is serial number 5806, but has a short wrist stock and a dated barrel. The sight is a period replacement. Very good overall condition.
