Rare Stevens model 51 on a 44 1/2 action. Ideal "Schuetzen Rifle" with a Stevens-Pope barrel. Serial # 468. (False muzzle also numbered 468). Bore is excellent and caliber is .38-55. Barrel length is 30". Barrel has a rotary sight and a correct Vernier tang rear sight. Gun has double set triggers. Stocks have fancy figure and excellent fine checkering (original checkering, not recut). Barrel has about 95-97% blue. Receiver case colors are fading. Frame is engraved. This is a rare and beautiful model 51.
