Scarce Spencer Sporting .44 caliber rifle. Very neat gun with a brown patina throughout the metal. Gun shows a fair amount of use, but not abused. Wood is very good with a small chip at the comb and a chip off of the left hand side of the forearm. Action works perfectly. Bore has strong rifling but is dark in the grooves. Hammer spur was shortened but still easy to cock. This gun is in .44 caliber.
